Does Albatross access my data?
No. One of Albatross’s core strengths is that it does not access or transmit your data to any 3rd party. All operations run within your cloud, and we never see or store any sensitive information. You retain full control and compliance.
How is Albatross deployed?
You can deploy Albatross in just a few minutes through your cloud marketplace. Once deployed, you’ll receive a URL to access the UI and manage transfers. No Kubernetes or external orchestration needed.
How is Albatross priced?
Albatross is priced at $1/hour per active worker. You only pay when a worker is actively running a transfer. No additional charges for number of transfers, rows, or data volume.
What does “active worker” mean?
An active worker is a container that is currently performing a transfer. If you run 10 transfers in parallel, that’s 10 workers. Each worker is billed based on how long it's active.
Are there any other costs?
Yes—but they’re minimal and under your control. Albatross comes with an infrastructure as code template to build a networking and permissions sandbox into your cloud account. These resources cost around $50 per month.
Can I schedule transfers?
Yes! Albatross lets you schedule recurring transfers or trigger them on-demand, directly from the UI. No Airflow or external schedulers required. You schedule those transfers with a Cron statement.
